Private companion care and independent living support

Serving Ludington, Manistee, and surrounding West Michigan communities. Grounded in over 20 years of occupational therapy expertise, we help you or your loved one remain independent, connected, and supported at home.

Support tailored to everyday living

Rather than doing everything for an individual, our holistic approach focuses on preserving dignity, strengthening daily routines, and supporting real autonomy.

Meaningful companionship

Regular check-ins, thoughtful conversation, reconnecting with beloved hobbies, and standby assistance for older adults living alone or navigating cognitive changes.

Independence support

Adaptive strategies for meal preparation, routine organization, and navigating daily household tasks safely following illness, concussion, or neurological conditions.

Family caregiver respite

Dependable support for local families who need a trusted partner, as well as peace of mind for relatives living at a distance needing experienced local care.

Doing everything for someone is not always helping them

If someone can still water their plants, make a sandwich, walk to the mailbox, or fold laundry, those activities are vital pieces of identity, purpose, and cognition. Sometimes a person simply needs more time, a thoughtful reminder, a simplified environment, or a compassionate presence nearby to feel safe doing it themselves.

Who can benefit from this care

This individualized support is ideal for all ages recovering from hospitalization or injury, individuals with a history of brain injury or stroke, older adults wanting to age safely in place, and adults with special needs seeking active community engagement. We meet you exactly where you are with patient, skilled guidance.

More than just basic check-ins

Led by Kendra's extensive clinical background in acute care, neurological care, and rehabilitation, our visits integrate mind-body-spirit wellness with practical adaptations. Together, we build confidence and safeguard autonomy in the comfort of home.

Beyond the ordinary

Sometimes a person doesn’t need traditional home health care—they simply need a little extra support to continue living safely, independently, and meaningfully. Drawing from more than 20 years of experience in occupational therapy, home health, rehabilitation, brain injury support, and special-needs care, I offer individualized non-medical companion care for older adults and adults who may benefit from a knowledgeable, compassionate presence. Support may include companionship, daily routines, meal preparation, errands and appointments, cognitive or memory cueing, meaningful activities, respite for family caregivers, and help staying connected to home and community. My focus is not on taking over, but on supporting what each person can still do—preserving independence, dignity, connection, and quality of life.
